Step 1. The experience of the environment
The place I used to go to in order to relax and get away from all the stress was Retiro Park in Madrid.
I would quietly observe the lake, the nature, the animals, the statues and people in general.
I usually sit in a space by myself in the middle of the park and lay down on the fresh grass, surrounded by trees and some birds, with the bright sky visible.
Q1.I chose this place because Madrid was the first city I lived in after I moved out from my family’s house and this park was always the place i’d go to for peace and relaxation when I felt alone or homesick.
Q2. What makes me feel at peace is the nature surrounding me from every angle, the sound of birds chirping, the smell of the fresh grass.
Q3. Sometimes what disrupts my peace in this park are some dogs barking at each other or some kids screaming and crying.
Q4. It’s possible that I could feel peace if I go to another place now but it wouldn’t be the same as Retiro park because that place is special for me and brings back many memories.
Q5. Yes, the particular conditions of this park could influence its occupants due to it being a safe space to be at peace full of nature, lakes, animals…
Q6. No, I wouldn’t change anything because my experience with this space was surreal and extremely enjoyable.
